1. What does skin problem mean?

Skin problem refers to any problem or illness of the skin. When the normal condition of the skin is disturbed—such as itching, rashes, blemishes, acne, or dryness—it is called a skin problem. Simply put, a skin problem is when the skin is not properly healthy.

  • Eczema: Eczema is an inflammatory skin condition where the skin becomes dry, red and itchy. Sometimes the skin can break out. This can be caused by allergies, sensitive skin or environmental factors. Regular use of moisturizers and keeping the skin clean are helpful.
  • Psoriasis: Psoriasis is a long-term skin disease, where red patches and white scales appear on the skin. It is caused by a problem with the body’s immune system. It is usually seen more on the elbows, knees or scalp. Regular care and reducing stress are helpful in this.
  • Fungal Infection: Fungal infection is a skin problem caused by fungi. It causes red spots, itching and ring-like marks. Humidity, sweat and unclean skin increase the risk of it. Keeping the skin dry and clean helps in reducing this problem.
